Sargis Khandanyan receives newly appointed Ambassador of South Africa to our country

On April 17, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National; Assembly Sargis Khandanyan received the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to our country Shoayb Casoo (residence in Kiev).

Welcoming the guest, Sargis Khandanyan congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of assuming the position and wished him success in his mission.

Speaking about the necessity of developing the inter-parliamentary relations of the two countries, The Committee Chair proposed him to begin that process from the cooperation between the namesake committees.

Sargis Khandanyan presented to the Ambassador tie security situation, the challenges in the South Caucasus, talked about the efforts of Armenia aimed at the establishment of the stable peace, including the Crossroads of Peace initiative.

Thanking Sargis Khandanyan for the warm reception Shoayb Casoo noted that during his tenure he will promote the development of bilateral ties. Presenting the history of his own country, the Ambassador underscored that the road leading to peace is difficult, and only it will be possible to reach peace with dialogue between the parties.
